Exhibition catalogue published in conjunction with show held May 28 - June 27, 1992. "The work consists of a total of sixty-five small objects. Fifty-nine of these are made from a modelling material called 'Fimo' which has been baked hard in a stove. The six remaining objects are bronze casts. The work was made in 1992 in Kassel, Germany as a group work by 'Erfreuliche Klasse Kippenberger': Claudia Böttcher, Hans von Sichart, Ina Weber, Olaf Hackl, Stefan Fedeler, Sven O. Ahrens. Each of the bronze casts was made by one of the six artists involved and is identificable [sp] in the catalogue of the exhibition 'worm works' by the 'Erfreuliche Klasse Kippenberger' at the David Nolan Gallery, New York May-June 1992. None of the other pieces are attributable to any of the artists in particular. Ideally, the pieces should be arranged in a showcase, in the manner of relics displayed in a museum of natural history. They should be arranged in rows and other configurations according to their shape and 'type,' with some 'outcasts' remaining singular. The real bronze worms should just be placed amongst the others." --from a copy of a letter from Ina Weber dated February 5, 1993 printed on Hotel Kassel letterhead.
